Our house reef is on the beach of Alcaidesa. We drive down to LA VISTA with our 4x4. There we can change and walk a few meters to the water. The maximum depth is 6 meters, ideal conditions for DSDs, beginner courses and divers who didn´t dive for a while and want to start slowly. Around the rocks often we find squid, swarms of fishes, groupers and crabs.

Punta Atalaya is about 20 min drive away from Alcaidesa. We park our car at the tower (Atalaya) and chnage. We walk down to the beach and descent slow to 3-4m. We swim with 120 degrees along the reef, until we meet some huge rocks. The depth there is about 15m and it´s full of canyons. We often see nudi-branches, conger eels, murrays, squid and ray.

Camp Bay is one of our manifoldest dive sites. Realisticly you can see five wrecks in two dives. Divers who need little air can even see seven wrecks and an old car. The "Batty" and the "483" e.g. are lying on 15m a few meters apart and they form a nice canyon. The wrecks are completely overgrown with soft coral and gorgonia. We recommend to make a  - wreck speciality - and to bring a lamp.

You find this bay north of Camp Bay. The dive site "seven sisters" which begins north of Rosia Bay is very famous amongst uw photographers. You find plenty of nudi-branches, seastars, searoses, rays, triggerfish, eels and even sunfish have been seen here. Maximum depth is 21 meters. Bring your digicam and book a - DUP course -.

 

GETARES is a 30 min drive away from Alcaidesa. The dive site is very close to the old whale catching station.  We prepare our equipment and go into the water, where we dive along an edge in the rocks on 7-8m. On the way back we swim over sandground which is covered with soft corals and gorgonia. There are also rock formations and in the cracks we might find torpedo rays, murrays and squid.

ISLA DE TARIFA is the only place in the world where you can make one dive in the atlantic and the next dive in the med. The official border is the island. Both sites offer a variety of marine life and nice rocks and formations. Often we see stone fishm eels murrays and rays. The visibility is most of the times very good, but as Tarifa is the "wind capitol" it might be windy outside.
