Divesites at Tarifa:
Tarifa is the only divesite in the world, where you can dive in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic one after the other.
Tarifa: Playa la Garita Depth: 5 - 15m Ideal for try-dives and OWD courses and also for refreshing your skills after a long break. Scorpionfish, spider crabs and the occasional angler fish live among the big coral-covered rocks, with overhangs and canyons. Tarifa: Puerto Fenicio Depth: 5 - 15m Good for try-dives and OWD courses when easterly winds come up. It starts with shallow, clear water and a lot of schooling fishes. Many octopus, as well as a beautifully overgrown wall are waiting for you. Tarifa: Las Calderas Depth: 5 - 25m Las Calderas, a stunning divesite with overhangs, canyons and two huge steamboilers, the only leftovers of a sunken ship on a depth of 12 m. Tarifa: Las Calles Depth: 5 - 25m Las Calles is a true sensation when currents appear: fly through the canyons at a high speed, an adventure you will never forget! And the best: You dont have to swim back to the boat, it will pick you up at the end of your dive. Tarifa: San Andres Depth: 24 - 30m San Andres is another wreck in Tarifa. An old paddle steamer made of steal, who sank 1856 during a storm. The official name is „el Miño”. Unfortunately, only a few parts remain, but the most interesting spots are the stern and the paddles. Only for experienced divers because of the depth ( you can not see the wreck from above). |
